After almost 20 years of of weddings and events in New York we have decided to change directions. We would like to thank all of our amazing couples, their families and friends for letting us be a part of such memorable times in your lives.
Ashlee and Dan had a beautiful November wedding out east at The Vineyards in Aquebogue. The day started out at the home Ashlee grew up in, her sisters Alyssa (her twin) and Avary and all of her bridesmaids laughing and getting ready for the big day. Ashlee’s hair and make-up was amazing, her hair style was kept down, long and cascading. Before getting Ashlee dressed in her exquisite wedding gown we took a quick all girl photo in their comfy flannel shirts. Dan and his groomsmen were getting ready at Dan’s parents house before heading over to St. Joseph’s Church for the ceremony. The couple exchanged cards to one another and Dan surprised Ashlee with a beautiful engraved ring that she had wished for. Ashlee’s sisters and mom helped her get ready and Ashlee looked stunning, she did a first look with her dad before leaving for the church and it was a very emotional moment. St. Joseph’s Church in a beautiful church and it was time for Ashlee to walk up the aisle and marry Dan. It was a beautiful ceremony with some moments of smiles and laughter. After a few family photos at the altar with Dan’s grandparents we all headed out east to The Vineyards for more photos. At The Vineyards we were able to get some bridal party photos outside before the rain and Ashlee persevered and stayed to get a few photos of her and Dan under an umbrella, photos continued inside with the families and bridal party. Everyone enjoyed some downtime in the bridal suite before heading into the cocktail hour in the beautifully string lit covered outside patio area that overlooked the vineyards. The newly renovated reception room looked stunning. We always enjoy working with fun couples and their families and friends and this was no exception, we love when our past couples are guests and it was so nice to see some of them at Ashlee and Dan’s wedding. This is a great crowd and they know how to have fun and fun they all had out on the dance all night long. Ashlee and Dan’s guests enjoyed a hot pretzel stand for their trip home at the end of the evening; it truly was a great day! Congratulations Ashlee and Dan!!
Sharon and Chris’ beautiful October wedding on Long Island’s North Shore was a day to be remembered. Bridal prep was at the Hilton Garden Inn in Stony Brook. Sharon makeup was simple and natural and I loved the way Sharon styled her lavender purple hair with accents of little green flower buds and eucalyptus leaves. Chris got ready at the home that the couple shared and he looked dashing in his grey suit with purple shirt and tie. Sharon wanted to make sure photos were taken with Chris and their dog Ziggy and their chicken Tina (yes that’s correct, chicken), which made for some cute photos. Sharon’s mom and sister helped her get into her beautiful gown and Sharon did a first look with her father before heading over to Frank Melville Park for her first look with Chris. Chris waited patiently for his bride in front of the old watermill in the park and when the moment finally happened and he turned to see Sharon, both of them couldn’t contain the giant smiles and some giggles. We took every opportunity to photograph the couple at the various locations in the park before heading back to the entrance where we would take all of the family portraits. We also made a quick stop at the Belle Terre gates for a few photos with Chris and Sharon before heading to the venue for the ceremony. The ceremony was quick and sweet and Ziggy the dog was the ring bearer. The guests enjoyed cocktail hour overlooking the Long Island Sound. Sharon and Chris’ family and friends kept the dance floor wild with fun. And at the end of the evening everyone was treated to an amazing hot coco/hot apple cider bar, a candy table and a donut truck for yummy treats. Congratulations Sharon and Chris.
Carlye and Erik’s music/T.V. themed wedding at The Paramount was amazing. When we first met with this sweet couple I knew their wedding would be a unique one. The day started off a little wet due to the weather and bride prep had to be redirected to the venue because of the rising tides near Carlye’s house. Carlye was one of the calmest easy going brides I have worked with. Her hair and make-up were already complete when she arrived at the venue and Carlye looked beautiful. Her and her bridesmaids finished getting dressed in the various secret rooms in the Founders Room. Carlye’s mom helped her with her stunning wedding gown that she had purchased in Paris a few months prior and it was perfect. She wore a simple yet stunning necklace to accent the dress. Erik and his groomsmen were getting ready upstairs in the Green Room before he was to head down for their first look. Carlye did a quick first look with her father before we set up her and Erik for their reveal. You could see the anticipation building up in Erik as his bride walked up behind him, and of course when Erik turned to see Carlye, the tears of emotions came. We took all of the family photos and bridal party photos in the Founders Room prior to going up to the main room for the ceremony. The main room for the ceremony was stunning with flowing white curtains, autumn leaves that lined the aisle and a beautiful artificial floral chuppa that Carlye’s dad designed. Erik’s emotions took over once again as his bride came walking down the aisle towards him. The couple’s vows were beautiful and emotional and even brought a tear or two to my eye. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed an amazing cocktail hour in the Founders Room as the T.V.’s all played episodes of Bob’s Burgers. After cocktail, guests re-entered the main room for the reception and the transformation of the room from the ceremony was amazing. The white curtains were pulled back and draped to expose the bar areas, the tables were adorned with beautiful fall colored floral arrangements, candles and at each place setting was a vintage record that would be used as a charger; every napkin had a beautiful white artificial flower with music notes that guests could wear as a boutonniere or in their hair. The table assignments (table numbers) were different television couples, like Peg & Al Bundy or Kevin Arnold & Winnie Cooper or Bob & Linda Belcher, Carlye and Erik’s table was Homer & Marge Simpson. When I said unique, even the wedding cake was television show themed with shows like The Simpons, Seinfeld and Bob Burgers, they even had a Homer and Marge Simpson cake topper. Carlye and Erik had an amazing band “Project Orange” play for the entire reception and they were fantastic and kept the dance floor packed all night. To end the evening, the venue set up the lobby as a pizzeria and the couple had Little Vincents Pizza for their guests to enjoy. What a fantastic event. Congratulations Carlye and Erik!!
