It was a perfect day for a wedding at the historic Vanderbilt Mansion and Museum, followed by a beautiful reception at the Larkfield Manor. Danielle and Mike were referred to us by a past bride and I knew from the minute we met with them, we were a perfect fit. We had lots of fun and laughs during their engagement session and I knew the wedding day would be just as fun. Danielle and her bride maids got ready at her house and Danielle wore the biggest smile when we arrived. Her hair and makeup was flawless and she looked like a beautiful vintage movie starlet from the 1930’s/40’s. Her stunning Maggie Scottero gown added to her spectacular look.
Mike waited for his bride at the breathtaking Vanderbilt Mansion where the couple decided to do their first look. Danielle and her father arrived at the Vanderbilt in a vintage 1930’s Packard. As their families and bridal party watched from a distance, Danielle approached Mike so he could see his bride for the first time. When Mike turned to see his beautiful bride the love and excitement filled the courtyard. We spent a little time walking around the perimeter of the mansion for lovely photos in the gardens with the bridal party and the happy couple. It was a warm and heartfelt ceremony and the couple did a planting ceremony, they each took soil from their childhood homes and mixed it together in the pot with a tree that they will plant at their new home.
We made our was to the beautiful Larkfield Manor with a few photo stops along the way for some family photos in Larkfield’s beautiful gardens. Guests enjoyed the exquisite cocktail hour which took place both indoors and outside on the patio area. The lantern and floral centerpieces were the perfect touch to the grand reception room. Guests enjoyed the Ruby Booth photo booth and the music kept the party jumping all night long.
